Research overview

Wanlin Zhang is Ph.D. candidate at the ImaginationLancaster Design Research Center, Lancaster University, UK. With educational backgrounds in product design and design for social innovation, she has been involved in several design projects and funded research projects both in UK and China. Her current thesis centers on design interventions in heritage making practices, specifically within the context of central China. Her research interests include culturally significant designs and products, design for sustainability, craft-design collaborations, and Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Wanlin is also Research Associate on the Located Making, which is an AHRC funded project, led by Professor Stuart Walker at Lancaster University and Professor Martyn Evans at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Research Grants
