Military life is characterised by hypermobility and separation. The work of military spouses is often taken for granted (and often gendered) with un- and under- employment being key issues. Support tends to be charitable or emergent, increasingly dependent upon digital networks.

This project explores opportunities and barriers in sociodigital support for military spouses and families. The hypermobility of this group provide a valuable site for exploration of new patterns of working and family life, the impacts of hyper mobility and the everyday use of digital technologies in family life. Consequently, the impact and potential legacy is far reaching.
