Abstract

This paper investigates multiple emitting/multiple receiving points diversity technique for multi-wire transmission over frequency selective multi-wire channels. To be resilient to the inter-symbol interference (ISI) present in the frequency selective fading, diversity technique must be used in conjunction with wide band multi-carrier modulation (MCM). We introduce an efficient space-frequency (SF) coded multi-tone M-ary multi-level FSK (M3FSK) for indoor communications. Simulation results show that there is up to 5dB performance improvement of the SF over single-wire M3FSK systems in highly impulsive power-line environments.
