Abstract

I introduce the book’s aims and an overview of the international and historical context for a consideration of men’s involvement in early childhood education. I position my own commitment to this research area providing brief autobiographical information, which includes a description of several relevant empirical studies I have undertaken over the last two decades and that I go on to discuss in this book to ground the arguments developed here. © 2018, The Author(s).
