Abstract

The presence of parallel spinors gives rise to models exhibiting 'rigid' supersymmetry. The existence of parallel spinors does not require flat spacetime. The authors give the example of a gravitational plane wave where the parallel spinors enable supersymmetries to be found which close with the algebra of the five parameter isometry group.
