Bibliographic note

Hinds co-wrote (with Simon Barker) the 10,000 word Introduction, and edited, annotated and introduced six plays (A Woman Killed with Kindness; Arden of Faversham; Epicoene, or The Silent Woman; The Roaring Girl; The Tragedy of Mariam; and The Masque of Blackness) in each case this involved the production of completely new versions of the dramatic texts, based upon the earliest surviving editions and taking into account more recent editorial scholarship. The book also has a website, maintained by the editors and sited within the Routledge internet domain (http://www.routledge.com/textbooks/0415187346/).
