Bibliographic note

Szerszynski and Waterton (and Heim) were co-organisers of the four-day international conference and arts event Between Nature, with 200 participants. It resulted in two edited collections; of these, Nature Performed introduced performance theory to the sociology and anthropology of the environment. As well as working closely with the contributors in developing their chapters the editors each wrote their own chapter, and co-authored an introductory review essay.
