Abstract

This chapter explores the international obligations placed on states to protect and assist children in the context of child sexual exploitation. A particular focus is obligations relating to child pornography and the question of how harmonious and realistic the obligations imposed by various international instruments are. The chapter also considers what states must do to assist victims by way of offering them compensation.
