Bibliographic note

This monograph arose from a Conference of the same title developed by the author together with Professor Leslie Smith. The editorial process was shared equally by the two main editors (Rogers and Smith) with an oversight role enacted by Tomlinson. The two main authors also contributed papers to the monograph The conference explored a neglected area of psychology as applied to education concerning the synergies between human development and motivational processes. The monograph continues the exploration of the broad questions: What motivates development? and How does motivation develop? The editors were successful in drawing in the support of an array of world-class researchers including Dweck, Pintrich, Chandler, Turiel and Boekarts, each of which have written pieces that advance an understanding of their own particular sub-field as well as the overall concerns of the monograph. This monograph has been the most successful to date of this BJEP series. RAE_import_type : Edited book RAE_uoa_type : Education
