Abstract

Reddit, a highly visited website in the United States wherein users can post, view, and discuss virtually any topic, was used to investigate the psychological language sports team fans use after a win or loss. Thirty-two Reddit communities (known as “subreddits”) corresponding to each NFL sports team were analyzed with LIWC to investigate NFL sports fans language after a win or loss.
