Abstract

Our last chapter focused on managing stakeholders with a particular emphasis on relationships and the achievement of priorities. It also highlighted a common situation where an individual stakeholder may have their own stakeholders that they need to keep engaged and involved. In this chapter we shift our focus to supply chains: networks that connect multiple suppliers and customers through complex webs of relationships. The relationships often involve chains of suppliers (and therefore chains of customers) that need to be managed and engaged.
