Abstract
Swell is a collection of new poems, the author's first since 2005. The collection is made up of shorter personal lyrics, as well as several lengthy meditations on money and virtual reality. "The Server Room", for example, is a four-page poem about the age of information technology, employing much of the language and grammar of the corporate world. "The Pearl Works" is a sequence of tweet-sized couplets, one for each week of 2012.
