David Archard was the commissioning co-editor, co-author of the 'Introduction', and contributor of an original chapter to The Moral and Political Status of Children. As commissioning co-editor he invited contributions from relevant philosophers, and provided extensive editorial guidance for all of the chapters. As co-author of the 'Introduction' his particular contribution was the critical survey of existing writing in the area, whilst his co-editor provided the summary of the chapter contents.
