Abstract

It might seem insensitive to suggest that arguably many offenders in racist crimes will not anticipate, think-through, or even appreciate the consequences of their actions. While it is likely that they intend to inflict some hurts, it is also likely that many will not anticipate the extent and depth of hurt they inflict.
