The report discusses the changes that are happening to the GB electricity system as it moves from one dominated by large thermal power stations to a network of many thousands of renewable generators. The old engineering management structures, inherited from the nationalised industry of the 1960s, are no longer appropriate and this report discusses how other sectors have coped with the management of system architecture in a disaggregated industry.
