Airborne Measurements of Ozone Precursor Fluxes

Project: Research

Description

In this proof-of-concept project we aim to establish whether or not we are able to measure the surface to atmosphere fluxes of volatile organic compounds and the oxides of nitrogen from London and SE England. We will do this using the micrometeorological method of virtual disjunct eddy covariance with data from two highly sensitive fast-response instruments mounted aboard the NERC's Dornier 228 research aircraft.
