REAP are evaluating the Barrow Engineering Project, a curriculum enrichment project funded by the Royal Academy of Engineering that seeks to raise the profile of engineering among young people in Barrow-in-Furness. REAP have evaluated the project since its inception in 2008 and several of their recommendations have been incorporated into the programme including greater emphasis on activities and purchases that will ensure a sustainable project legacy, an increased use of STEM ambassadors in school based activities, and the introduction and revision of a scorecard system as a tool to aid monitoring and participation in the BEP project.
