This research project aims to investigate classroom practices relating to the teaching and assessment of English listening and speaking skills in higher secondary schools (Grades 11 and 12) in Bangladesh. Insights will be gained through classroom observations, interviews with teachers, and focus groups with students and community members. It is anticipated that the baseline data resulting from this research will help inform the type of support which would be most beneficial for teachers in developing the listening and speaking skills of higher secondary school students in Bangladesh.
