This ESRC funded CASE studentship was sponsored by Det Norske Veritas (UK) and focused on the pedagogical design and evaluation of a training system for Critical Incident Managers in the Chemical Industry. Det Norske Veritas (UK) provided sponsorship, access to data for the simulation of critical incidents in the chemical industry and negotiated access to trainers.
Research into simulation based training in the chemical industry, so that employees respond appropriately to chemical spillages from tankers transporting chemicals that are dangerous to humans or the environment.
