the KTP project aims to design and implement a sustainable and cost-effective pilot-scale bioleaching process for metal extraction from electrical and electronic wastes. The process operates spent printed circuit boards from various domestic appliances and uses an efficient bioreactor design to run the process at moderate conditions of acidity and temperature and promoted safety. The experimental findings will help upscaling the design to industrial standards.
