Reducing the runtime and improving the ease-of-use and portability of the COSA 3D harmonic balance Navier-Stokes solver for open rotor unsteady aerodynamics

Project: Other

Description

The project aims at improving the computaqtional performance and the usability of the COSA CFD software for open rotor and renewable energy applications developed by Dr. Campobasso, with particular attention to large-scale simulations requiring more than 20K cores of very large computer clusters. The project is in collaboration with the University of Cambridge, the University of Bristol, the University of New South Wales at Canberra (Australia), the University of Florence (Italy), and the Italian HPC research and IT service centre CINECA.
