Dr Basil Germond leads a team of PhD students from Lancaster University working on the cultural dimension of Chinese seapower. We have obtained funding from the Pierre Du Bois Foundation for Current History, based in Switzerland. We are currently working on two papers discussing the importance of historical memories to understand current Chinese seapower.
