Work on the Move: An Ethnographic Exploration of Mobile Paramedic Practices

Project: Research

Description

This project is a sociological exploration of mobile work. It is widely recognised that non-formal learning or tacit knowledge is associated with the context of the workplace but what happens when this workplace is not static? What happens when workers go on the move? The aim of the Work on the Move project is to explore how work moves from ‘organisational bases’ to other places and spaces and what it means when work practices, protocols, people and technologies move.
