"Working with families" involved supporting practitioners working within the community, FE and HE to work more effectively with families who had no experience of higher education to enable them to make more informed decisions about HE. This work was based on a series of action research cycles under the title of Families And Higher Education Decision-making (FAHED). It was supported by Aimhigher Lancashire and gained interest and support from Aimhigher Cumbria, and colleagues working across the country.
