An online conversation exploring the impart of Urban Lighting on behaviour, health nature and light pollution.
We are blessed with an abundance of artificial lighting in our cities that helps us get about and live more safely and productively. But are we using it in the right way and can we have too much light? Is the distribution of lighting done in an equitable way? We are only just starting to understand the impacts of light pollution on health, nature and wellbeing. Do regulations help us address these issues or should we learn how to diverge from standards. And have we designed night time in our cities in a way that excludes our ability to look up at the heavens and think about our place in the grander scheme of things.
