Crafts VS Plastics: Eco Packaging That Matters

Activity: Talk or presentation typesPublic Lecture/ Debate/Seminar

14/08/202118/08/2021

The two-session webinar workshop series will explore and discuss how crafts are an eco packaging alternative that matters more to us than plastics in our daily lives. Although our government and people have taken some initiatives, we could think further "what if” there was a way to eliminate more plastic usage and wastage, while at the same time promote our own local traditional or heritage crafts? Could there be a way to produce craftwork that could function or even replace the role of the plastic bags or plastic containers, which could ultimately benefit our society and nature environment at large?

This webinar workshop will feature four speakers from the arts and sciences, who would share their insights and thought-provoking views to evoke critical thinking of our participants, targeting mainly at college or university students (Generation Z) who are interested to explore how crafts can perhaps reduce plastics pollution in our environment.
