In the midst of ongoing cultural upheavals and clashes, we invite colleagues who work on culture (from a range of perspectives) to speak about what their work contributes to a better future. The event is for anyone from any discipline (postgrads, RAs, lecturers) who wishes to learn more about cultural research in Lancaster, and/or explain how their research contributes. To open the discussion, Beth Harland (LICA), Nicola Spurling (ISF/Sociology), Robert Crawshaw (DeLC), Johnny Unger (LAEL) and Linda Woodhead (ISF/PPR) will make 5 minute presentations, followed by a general discussion chaired by Emily Spiers (ISF/DeLC).
