Rethinking Places After Dark

We know our dark skies are special. Yet to connect with them in urban areas, we need to rethink the way we design for such places after dark. This is no mean feat due to long-held negative associations with darkness. To address these we need to unpick historical and cultural values, to understand alternative experiences and practices. In this talk Nick Dunn will explain why a move to ecology-centred rather than human-centred design is key to protecting our dark skies.
