To celebrate the publication of Dark Skies: Places, Practices, Communities we are bringing together a special colloquium featuring three thematic panels, each exploring different dimensions and future directions for dark skies, the places we encounter them and the communities that form around them.
Day 1:
Site visit to Grubbins Wood at nightfall with dance artist Aimee Williamson to walk through the ancient woodland to experience its sensibilities.
Field trip to Leighton Moss RSPB with a collective night walk led by Rupert Griffiths to explain the Sensing the Luminous Night project, followed by a walk along the nocturnal wetlands.
Day 2:
