Digital Twins: UK Manufacturing Forum Workshop

Activity: Participating in or organising an event typesParticipation in workshop, seminar, course

Digital Twins are one of the most mentioned Industry 4.0 technologies. And yet is the term really understood?
This workshop will provide the foundation for further discussion and the role of digital twins in the delivery of net zero.
Join us on 20th April to understand the definition of digital twins from a manufacturing perspective, as outlined by HVM Catapult, which aligns with the ISO/BSI standards that are currently under development.
After this introduction and discussion, a series of challenges (both technical and cultural) that are perceived as barriers to the widespread adoption of Digital Twins will be identified and debated.
The workshop will identify challenges and provide a perspective on prioritisation.
The outputs of these workshop sessions will inform the embryonic national initiatives within this area and feature in the UK Manufacturing Forum Report due out later this year.
