The session will gather academics, practitioners, representatives from civil society, climate and sustainability organisations and officials from a range of government departments to help determine the scope and key themes of an Environmental Policy History.  The Policy History will consist of historical analysis and chronologies of environmental policy areas and expert analytical perspectives, culminating in a final report. It will explore issues related to environmental policy and how it has evolved over time. It will discuss how different policy paradigms have shifted thinking on the environment for policymakers and consider how historical insights can inform policy making going forward.   The event is hosted by the British Academy.
