Summer Social Innovation Volunteership, by UnLtd

Lancaster University, the Enterprise Team , UnLtd sponsored the projects and we had the following resource persons that facilitated it through: Kate Jackson, (Community Engagement Officer (LUSU)), Dr Matt MacDonald (Senior Research Associate and Social Entrepreneur in Residence (LUMS)), Gerasimos Balis, Candace Davis, Lancaster University, the Enterprise Team, UnLtd, the Foundation for Social Entrepreneurs, Simon Rudd (Outrageous Ambition)

This requires innovation and this is where a multi-disciplinary team of 6 Lancaster University students working with Outrageous Ambition, a creative Lancaster social enterprise and hub with the strapline ‘We don’t do can’t!’. Planning and resourcing a ‘Wellness Festival’, setting up a time bank and making a film to show how the public can help the centre to create employment opportunities to change vulnerable lives forever, are just a flavour of the impact given by us using the summer holidays to volunteers.
