Event summary
This in-person discussion focused on the following:
Leading the Change: How can IChemE support greater collaboration between education and employer partners to progress our collective ambitions to engineer a sustainable world?
This is the first in a series of networking events brought together our academic and vocational partner institutions with our employer partners to engage in key discussions around how we can balance maintaining the quality and popularity of academic routes, whilst broadening engagement with alternative and vocational routes into the profession.
IChemE brought together partners who:
• have training and development responsibilities with a range of employers across the chemical, biochemical and process engineering sector
• lead chemical engineering and related degrees in UK universities
• are involved with leading alternative and vocational educational routes into the chemical, biochemical and process engineering sector
The event was facilitated to maximise the opportunity for all attendees to engage across the industrial and academic communities.
