The FIP 9.4: 13th International Conference Social Implications of Computers in Developing Countries held in Negombo, Sri Lanka brought together scholars from the field of ICT4D, STS and development studies. My presentation - "The Formalising Regime and its Formalising Technology: The Case of Informal Commerce in Recife" - reflected on the role of technology on the formalisation processes put in place by Recife City Council in relation to the informal commerce. This was later published in the Conference Proceedings.
