The study day presents itself as an opportunity to reflect on the issues that today bring comics to the attention of an increasingly vast and heterogeneous public. In particular, an attempt will be made to take stock of the phenomena of transmediality and intermediality between the graphic novel and other expressive systems, on the dialogue between genres - from the novel from the autobiographical novel to the document, from the detective story to the investigative tale - and on the relationship between reality and fiction.
Furthermore, we will look at the evolution of comics about current forms of interaction between different semiotics and new media. In this sense, the meeting is a place of active participation and confrontation for students, doctoral students, researchers and professionals. The relationship that the graphic novel entertains with other expressive systems, from cinema to literature to the web, has been studied for different disciplinary approaches. What is proposed here is to extend the reflection of other forms of interaction to grasp the current evolution of comics towards new fruition models. Think, for example, of new museum spaces, Street Art and the border between comics and urban reality.
