As Vice-Chair of the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) British Young Epilepsy Section (YES), I co-organised a one-day meeting on 'bench to bedside' epilepsy research at the Mercure Atlantic Tower Hotel, Liverpool. This event was tailored for early-career researchers, clinicians and allied professionals, and focused on translational research in epilepsy with the aim of bridging the gap between laboratory research and clinical practice.
