This seminar is the 5th in an ESRC funded seminar series on ‘The potentials, politics and practices of international education assessments’. The series is organized by the Laboratory of International Assessment Studies and the Lancaster seminar has additional support from the Higher Education Research Centre in the Department of Educational Research at Lancaster University. The event will focus on the ways that findings from international assessments enter into media and public discourse in participating countries, how these are articulated within existing national preoccupations and the implications of these interventions for policy.
