This was a Health@Lancaster Men’s Health Roundtable on 9th July to contribute to the development of a long-term national men’s health strategy in England. Framed around the Department for Health and Social Care’s call for evidence, the event aims to delve into the sociological mechanisms—particularly masculinity—that underpin men’s poor health outcomes. The event focused on health literacy, engagement with services, and lifestyle behaviours, the roundtable brought together regional and national voices, including researchers, practitioners, and policymakers, to generate actionable insights. This collective dialogue not only strengthens the response to national policy but also fosters immediate and practical collaborations to improve men’s health outcomes in the short and long term.
