At the invitation of Kelly Burrell (the Drama lead at Morecambe Bay Primary School) I led a two-hour improvisation workshop for teachers at the school. The workshop exercises touched on a variety of areas from the school's Drama Curriculum and Progression in Skills document, covering warm up games, storytelling exercises, character development, and exploring emotions. I highlighted what these exercises teach about improvisation and its uses in the classroom, as well as why the exercises are useful in and of themselves as creative processes and ways to process emotions.

After the event I provided attendees with a summary sheet of the exercises performed, and Mrs Burrell provided some positive feedback about the session (see attached below). It was agreed that we will keep lines of communication open between Morecambe Bay Primary School and LICA for potential future partnerships, support and collaborations.
