Newspaper written in collaboration with displaced people, migration researchers from Migration Lab and Manchester-based journalists which presented real stories of refuge and asylum. The workshop was in partnership with Manchester-based organisations supporting asylum seekers including Pathway Arts, United for Change, Revive and The Meteor: Manchester’s Alternative Media (an independent media project). I wrote the introduction: 'Is Britain a 'soft touch' for asylum seekers?' and worked with asylum seeker, 'Sarah' and Conrad Bower (journalist for Meteor) to write: 'I was herded like a sheep to Yarlswood detention centre.' The newspaper was distributed via community organisations, events, social media and other media platforms, and public venues across Manchester.
