This project is being delivered as a co-design project with the People’s Jury on Climate Change using UK Shared Prosperity Funding.
The Council’s climate emergency declaration included a commitment to convene a People's Jury to help identify how our activities can be made net-zero carbon by 2030. The People’s Jury was formed with a diverse mix of individuals chosen to proportionately represent the demographics of the district. The Jury produced a final report of recommendations for
Lancaster City Council in 2020, however the council’s involvement with the Jury didn’t end there, and the City Council has continued to convene the Jury through the Local Climate Engagement Programme (LCEP) which produced further recommendations around travel and transport.
