Activity: Business or School/HEI Engagement › Social/Cultural Organisation
Rebecca Robinson recently delivered a workshop for RAF Air Cadets at their Inskip facility as part of a collaborative event focused on cyber skills and career exploration. Working alongside partners from IN4 Group, BAE Systems Air team, NCF, and UKStratCom, the event featured several parallel sessions to introduce cadets to various aspects of cybersecurity and potential career paths. Rebecca's session focused on cybersecurity, using a specially adapted Cyber Risk Management Lego game. This interactive tool, tailored with input from educators to align with the key stage 3 and 4 curriculum, offered the cadets hands-on experience in identifying and managing cyber risks within a simulated environment.
After the workshop, Rebecca Robinson joined a careers panel to discuss pathways into cybersecurity and the diverse opportunities available within the field. They provided insights on the growing importance of cybersecurity roles and highlighted opportunities for studying security and protection sciences at Lancaster University. This event offered a valuable chance to engage with young people on the critical role of cyber skills and encourage them to consider a future in this dynamic and essential sector.
