A study day held in Lancaster University Library Events Space with Dr Alan Crosby (British Association for Local History). The event explored different aspects of this fascinating topic, within a geographical framework extending from the Scottish border down into mid-Cheshire, and a timespan from the post-Conquest period until the middle decades of the 16th century.
