Revealing the Mill Race is a short research project funded by Ensemble. It explores a hidden water course that runs beneath the city centre and that contributes to surface water flooding. A series of public walks were held over three days to bring the Mill Race to life and to collect experiences and understanding of flooding and the weather in the city. The data collected is being developed into a Lancaster Mill Race Flood Ontology with the School of Computing and Communications, where a variety of data (including lived experience, poetry and art) will be included alongside environmental and flood data about the city.
