Andy Darby, from HighWire CDT, was invited by Dr. Kirsty Liddiard of the University of Sheffield to facilitate a research meeting for The Intimate Citizens Project funded by The Wellcome Trust and the University of Sheffield. Held on the 23rd and 24th November at the university’s School of Education The Intimate Citizens Project brought together self-advocates and their organisations, academics and practitioners (n=18) to explore the ways in which austerity politics are reshaping intimate citizenship for learning disabled people through codesigning design fictions with the aim of co-producing work packages for future research.
