David Sugarman presented a paper on “The Rise and Fall of Freedom of Contract” at the Workshop and Memorial in honour of Professor Patrick Atiyah (1931-2018), Oxford University, 10 November 2018. Other speakers included Professor Sir Michael Atiyah (Oxford and Cambridge), Professor Peter Cane (Cambridge), Professor Hugh Collins (Oxford), Professor Joanne Conaghan (Bristol), Professor James Goudkamp (Oxford) and Professor William Twining (UCL). The event was organized by the University of Oxford Faculty of Law, in association with St John’s College, Oxford.
