The aim of the HIPSTER project was to develop workshops to promote good risk-based threat assessment, for software development professionals to run in their own organisations. One of the best ways to promote them is by running workshops in public forums. This was one such, a one-off ticketed workshop. It involved an initial invited speaker, then a workshop for the participants using a case study as a topic for discussion rather than the participants’ own projects. In presenting it, we encouraged the participants to run the workshops themselves with their own teams of development staff.
