Dark Skies, Human Health and Biodiversity - the UK's first Dark Design Lab

Press/Media: TV Interview/Appearance

Description

Television interview with Naga Munchetty and Roger Johnson on BBC Breakfast to discuss the research we are doing in the Dark Design Lab and my role for the International Dark-Sky Association UK. We discuss why we need to rethink how we design with darkness, rather than against it, to significantly reduce the impact of light pollution in order to protect wildlife, human health, reduce waste, mitigate climate change, and improve access to dark skies. We also discuss how and why designing with darkness means creating safe and inclusive places for everyone and everything.
