The Department of History is pleased to announce that, at the next Annual Conference of the Economic History Society, Dr James Taylor will be awarded a prize of £1000.00 as author of the best first monograph published in 2006/7, namely Creating Capitalism: Joint-Stock Enterprise in British Politics and Culture, 1800-1870.
