DescriptionDuring this weeks edition of the radio show, presenters Dr Sayjda Talib & Eleanor Dove will be discussing the application process when applying to competitive courses & universities. Joining them on the show will be Katriona from Cambridge University and Dr Nicola Phillips from Lancaster Medical School.
Katriona is the Access and Widening Participation Manager for Downing College, part of Cambridge University. She has previously worked in East Lancashire as an Outreach Learning Mentor in local schools. She graduated from Lancaster University with a degree in Business Studies and a study abroad year in Australia.
Dr Nicola Phillips is the Director of Admissions and Director of Studies for the Gateway programme for Lancaster Medical School. Nicola graduated from Nottingham University with a BSc in Biochemistry and Biological Chemistry, an MSc in Oncology and a PhD in Molecular Biology and Biophysics from the School of Pharmacy. She has worked in Higher Education for 11 years in both research and teaching focused positions in the fields of Molecular Biology, Chemistry and Medicine.
